Balanced Flamingo was founded in 2020, when an engineering student from the University of San Buenaventura in Medellin, Colombia decided to turn her thesis research into a reality. Juliana Cardenas, moved to the United States during her graduate studies and began her research on the skin care industry. Her studies involved investigating why so many natural ingredients are overlooked, while less effective and often harmful ingredients are pushed onto consumers as their only and best options. As someone who suffered from psoriasis and depended on a healthy diet to help calm her symptoms, Juliana was determined to find a solution to inflammatory skin conditions. After two years of research and tireless work, she launched her company, Balanced Flamingo, and the vitamin behind it all; Hydrate & Repair.
